AI Credit Terms (VG Credits)

1. Credit Types

VitaeGene AI Credits ("VG Credits") come in four sources:

• Free AI Credits — one-time first-month credits granted to new Free users; never renews.
• Referral AI Credits — earned through the Referral & Rewards programme.
• Monthly Subscription Credits — included with paid plans (Essential/Pro/Premium), replenished each billing cycle.
• Purchased AI Credits — bought as top-up packs.

2. Expiry

• Free AI Credits — expire at the end of your first month after registration.
• Referral AI Credits — expire 90 days after being earned.
• Monthly Subscription Credits — expire at the end of each billing cycle (they do not roll over).
• Purchased AI Credits — valid for 360 days from purchase.

3. Deduction Order

When you use an AI feature, credits are deducted in this priority:

1. Monthly Subscription Credits
2. Free AI Credits
3. Referral AI Credits
4. Purchased AI Credits

4. Refunds & Failed Request Restoration

• Credits consumed by a failed AI request (server error, no usable output) are automatically restored.
• Credits consumed by a successful request are non-refundable.
• Purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Essential-Plan-Only Rule

Free AI Credits and Referral AI Credits are valid only for AI-powered features included in the Essential Plan. They do not unlock Pro or Premium functionality.

Using a Pro or Premium AI feature requires an active paid subscription at the required tier.

6. Purchased Credits Do Not Upgrade Plans

Purchased AI Credits increase AI usage capacity but do not upgrade the user's subscription plan. Pro/Premium features still require the matching subscription.

7. Transfers & Non-Transferability of Value

Credits have no cash value and may not be sold or exchanged for money or anything outside the platform. Where the in-app VG Credit sharing feature is available, you may transfer credits to another registered VitaeGene user; transferred credits carry the same terms once received. Credits may not be transferred for cash or commercial gain. The main account holder's credit balance is used for family AI features (e.g. AI grocery planning).

8. Misuse Prevention

Fraudulent generation, sharing, or manipulation of credits is prohibited and results in forfeiture, suspension, and reversal of illegitimately obtained credits.

9. Changes

Expiry periods and deduction rules may change with reasonable notice.
